Sandblasting, also known as abrasive blasting, is a process where the surface metal items are etched using a fine sand comprised of ground garnet. This is “blasted” at the item under high air velocity using a gun similar to a pressure washer. 

This is done in a sealed room by the sandblast operator. 

The use of sandblasting removes unwanted debris, rust, previous finishes and oil from the surface leaving your item bare and ready for Powdercoating.
